Strong partners

Most of the energy transformation goals of the federal and state governments and their commitment to expansion of renewable energy generation in the last years have built the confidence required for investments among offshore companies. A strong network of competence, performance, and internationality has developed in Cuxhaven in the last few years, turning the location into an extraordinary point of contact for the offshore and heavy-duty industry.

Thanks to its optimal infrastructure and unique selling points specifically tailored to the requirements of the wind energy sector not only as a production site, but also for the full logistics of erecting, assembling, maintaining, and servicing the offshore wind turbines, Cuxhaven has been able to attract strong partners for the site.
Construction of the plant for production of foundation structures by CSC Cuxhavener Steel Construction GmbH commenced in 2007, followed by tower manufacturer AMBAU GmbH in 2008. Following Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy GmbH’s commitment to settle in Cuxhaven in 2015, other companies such as Nordmark GmbH  arrived as well.

The Deutsches Offshore-Industrie-Zentrum in Cuxhaven now presents a strong association of performance-oriented and competent partners, suppliers, and service providers that is unique in its totality and composition.
